Vijetha Vidyalaya is a co-educational school.The school has spacious classrooms, well equipped computer laboratory, science laboratory and library. Separate Pre-primary block houses Nursery, L.K.G and U.K.G classes.Our Pre-Primary and Secondary school teachers are competent , experienced and trained teachers.
We follow the pattern suggested by NCERT and at the same time we have been watching the great changes that are taking place in the field of education. We are trying to incorporate the same that are clearly useful. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The students are prepared for the CBSE board examinations (X Standard). The curricula and syllabi are as laid by the NCERT, New Delhi. Now we have classes from Nursery to X standard.
Daily tests are being conducted to test the knowledge of day lesson learnt by students. It also helps them to wipe out the fear of exam from their mind. It tends to the training of time management & so on.
Our school academic year begins in the first week of April. A Bridge course is conducted to re-capitulate what they have learnt in previous academic year which help the children to settle themselves for the new academic year. To measure their re-capitulation a questionnaire is prepared and the answer scripts are evaluated.
In addition to term exams three periodic assessments will be conducted in order to observe the growth of learning of each child. This will help the teacher as well as their parent to monitor each students progress in studies.
To facilitate the student and the parent study materials are prepared and printed materials are given to the students before every terminal examinations.
Oral examinations are conducted by external teachers from Nursery to VI class to tone up the communication skills among the students. The progress of oral, reading and language skills are also intimated to the parents through progress reports. Subjects experts are appointed to check the correction work and suitable remedy and advice are being given to eradicate about their mistakes. Internal inspection organized by the management to tone up the teaching methods of the teachers & improve their knowledge as per the latest global demands.
To tap the inborn ideas that exists in each tender mind, project work and work sheet are given to elicit the answers before any term examination. This will allow the students to think and improve their reasoning skills.
To enhance the communication skills among each student ‘Topic a day’ is introduced in each class. Each student is expected to speak in english at least one day in a month in their class room only. The elected children will be asked to speak in the assembly or in any function in the school.
Two G.K questions are asked every day in the assembly to elicit the answers from the students and express their ideas in the assembly without fear.
We conduct remedial classes for the students of VII to X to facilitate the learning process. This is to provide meaningful and stimulating learning environment , that offers them varied range of experience to suit their learning styles.
We guide the pupil by providing learning workshops , activities to generate a self organizing process through discussions and group study sessions. This is more effective than traditional “Chalk and Talk” method.
The subject teachers of each class identify the slow learners based on the performance of the previous academic year. Special coaching classes are conducted for the slow learners to improve their basic knowledge.
Group Study : Students are divided into groups and each group is given suitable guidance by specially trained teachers. Our teachers have taken this project to tone up the slow learners and sharpen the above average students.
